Briumvi is a biologic therapy that is indicated to treat:

  • Adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), to include clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease

What is Briumvi?

Briumvi (ublituximab-xiiy) is an infusion indicated for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), to include clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease, in adults.


What is Briumvi Used For?

Briumvi is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS).


Briumvi Infusion Dosage and Administration

First infusion is 150mg with a second infusion 2 weeks after at a dose of 450mg. Subsequent infusions are 450mg IV every 24 weeks after the induction.


Briumvi Infusion Side Effects

As with all treatments, side effects are possible. If the patient experiences any of the side effects below, he or she needs to inform the nurse of these symptoms right away.

With Briumvi IV Infusion, patients may experience:

  • dizziness, nausea, light-headed, itchy, sweaty, headache, chest tightness, back pain, trouble breathing, or swelling in face
  • cold sores around your mouth, skin sores or blisters, itching, tingling, burning pain in thigh or lower back
  • cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat
  • pain in hands and feet
  • sleep problems (insomnia)
  • tiredness


How to Get a Referral for Briumvi

To receive an Briumvi (ublituximab-xiiy) infusion at IVX Health, the patient must provide their referring physician’s order.

Patient information should include:

  • Name
  • Current address
  • Home and mobile phone number
  • Insurance information

Information the physician must include on the patient’s order for Briumvi infusion therapy:

  • Patient’s name and DOB
  • Order date
  • Diagnosis
  • Physician’s name and NPI#
  • Office address, phone and fax numbers
  • Provider’s signature

Supporting clinical documentation from the physician should include:

  • Hepatitis B virus screening and quantitative serum immunoglobulin screening are required before first dose (2.1)
