About the Nurse Practitioner (NP) Role

Both full-time and PRN NP roles available. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at IVX Health in San Ramon, CA will work in the San Ramon Infusion Center. The NP will work directly with patients and performs intake, vitals, infusions and injections, and documents activity in the electronic health record. The Nurse Practitioner also provides onsite supervision for all patients.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Responsibilities

  • Assess and document the health status of the patient. Including SOAP note documentation
  • Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history
  • Provide onsite supervision for all patients
  • Prepare patients for infusion or injection
  • Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
  • Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
  • Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
  • Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care
  • Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed
  • Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments
  • Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
  • Works at multiple facilities within the market as needed

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Competencies

  • Excellent IV skills (infusion therapy experience a plus)
  • Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office®)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
  • Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills

Required Education and Experience

  • Experience in an infusion setting preferred
  • Current RN licensure for state where practicing
  • Completion of Masters or Doctorate in nursing program
  • Current NP licensure for state where practicing
  • Board certified through ANCC or AANP
  • Current BLS CPR certification
